Kulkan
Kulkan is a wizard, member of the militaristic nation of the Hobgoblins and has the rank of Master Abjurer.
Kulkan's talent for magic was discovered early, and he started his training as a wizard from a very young age.
He was always one of the brightest students, showing the way for the others...something that meant that he always had to stay
one step ahead or risk falling behind them.
He learned that if you want to stay ahead, you don't have to worry about making weird plans, or plotting against the others. You just have to tirelessly keep going straight forward, avoiding distractions.
Kulkan was climbing through the ranks proving his worth to everyone, till he reached the rank of Abjurer.
When he finally reached that position, he was directly under the orders of the Master Abjurer Ivir. Ivir is hateful hobgoblin who noticed Kulkan's rapid rising and fearing for his own position, decided to put a stop to it. After sending Kulkan to suicide missions and failing to get him killed, he decided to arrange him to take worthless duties, where he couldn't prove his worth even if he tried.
And like this, Kulkan ended up being responsible for collecting the “taxes” of Skara Brae and the nearby villages....for three years and 27 days.
Until one night one of his local contacts brought to him a half unconscious Soren. Soon after, he joined Ad Infernum Lux in order to help them stop the Phaerimm and hoping that maybe he could get a promotion if everything went well, even without the approval of Master Abjurer Ivir.
He left his two apprentices, Sukal and Mordok, to take care of the taxes, and left for the south.
The gambit paid off, and soon after the Phaerim crisis was solved he got promoted to Master Abjurer. He was also allowed a leave to travel to the unknown for the Hobgoblins north.
Kulkan hasn't decided on a surname yet.
He isn't very religious, but he believes in Bargrivyek the God of Duty, Unity and Discipline.
